Best Value Home Lift - Hungerford

Best Value Home Lift - Hungerford

Faced with the common decision whether to move or improve, Nick and Jackie chose to install a Best Value Home Lift in anthracite into their characterful Hungerford home.  Built in 1803, their converted warehouse home fronts the Kennet & Avon Canal with dynamic views. However, with accommodation set over three floors and with five staircases, the couple knew that their much-loved home may not serve them well in later life and took action to future-proof it.

Mr Furr, a retired engineer, was exacting in his specifications.  He identified that by removing a cloakroom, he could create the perfect location for a lift that would provide access through the building to serve their needs.  After thoroughly researching the options available he selected the Best Value Home Lift for its aesthetics and size, and set about finding a partner to work with.

He commented: “The first potential supplier I contacted failed to give me the information I needed to make a decision and so gave me no confidence.  From the outset, working with Evolifts was a wholly different matter.  Speaking ‘engineer to engineer’ I was reassured of their expertise and they didn’t disappoint. I received all the detailed information I required to project manage the works and everything went according to schedule.  The installers couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.  In fact, from initial enquiry to installation, the whole package from Evolifts was superb and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”

Mr Furr continued: “Our home lift, with its glazed doors, special colour finish and mechanics on show create an industrial feel, perfectly in keeping with our home’s heritage. It looks good, works well and we are enjoying it, confident that we can stay in our home for many more years to come.  In fact, several couples we know are now considering making the same investment.”
